Qatar's air force "successfully shot down" two Iranian aircraft that were heading towards the Gulf country on Monday, March 3, Doha's defence ministry announced. The ministry stated that seven ballistic missiles were also intercepted by air defenses, and five drones were neutralized by the Qatar Emiri Air Force and Navy. These actions followed earlier attacks by Iran on energy facilities and a water tank within Qatar.

One Iranian drone targeted an energy facility in Ras Laffan Industrial City, while another struck a water tank at a power plant in Mesaieed. Both locations are critical for Qatar's natural gas production. No casualties were reported.
