Prosecutors in the trial of Marius Borg Høiby, the son of Norway’s crown princess, have requested a prison sentence of seven years and seven months for offences including rape and sexual assault.
On Wednesday, the prosecution said Høiby was guilty of 39 of 40 charges.
Høiby faces 40 counts: four rape charges, sexual assault, abuse in a close relationship, violence against a former partner, transporting 3.5 kg of marijuana, breaking a restraining order, aggravated assault, death threats, and traffic violations.

One charge involves violation of a restraining order, now overturned.
Høiby, 29, pleaded guilty to minor offenses but denied the most serious charges, including rape.
The trial concluded Thursday; verdict could take months.
During the trial, Høiby called himself "an object of hatred" and "a monster" in Norway.

A woman testified that after consensual sex on Oct. 3, 2023, she awoke to find Høiby continuing without consent. "I was dissociating... my body wasn’t ready for it," she said.
Prosecutors submitted video evidence from Høiby’s phone showing the woman asleep during the alleged assault. She confirmed the footage was taken without her knowledge.
Høiby claimed the woman was awake, later correcting himself: "When we had sex together." He stated, "I don’t have sex with women who are asleep."
Another woman accused Høiby of raping her at a 2018 after-party at his parents' estate. She said she felt drugged and has "black hole" memory of the event.
Høiby denied raping her, saying they had consensual sex after others left.
Høiby faces scrutiny since 2024 arrests over rape and assault allegations.
The royal palace stated the courts will decide the case.
