Bellarmine Mugabe, the youngest son of Zimbabwe's late President Robert Mugabe, has been arrested in South Africa and faces a charge of attempted murder. The 28-year-old was taken into custody after a 23-year-old man, believed to be a gardener, was shot and critically injured at a property in Johannesburg's Hyde Park suburb.

Police discovered bullet cartridges at the scene but have not recovered a firearm. Another individual has been arrested alongside Mugabe. Both suspects are expected to appear in court soon. While police have not officially named Mugabe, he was reportedly seen in handcuffs, and local media have widely identified him. The victim remains in hospital in a critical condition.
