A Russian airstrike hit an apartment block in Kharkiv, Ukraine, killing at least seven people, including children. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the casualties and stated that rescue workers are continuing to clear debris from the damaged five-storey building.
Among the fatalities were a 65-year-old woman, a 40-year-old man, a 13-year-old girl, and a nine-year-old boy. Seven apartment buildings, power grids, and an administrative building in the city sustained damage.

President Zelensky reported that Russia launched 29 missiles and 480 drones overnight, targeting energy facilities and railway infrastructure across Ukraine. He called for a partner response to these attacks.

Elsewhere, Russian attacks in the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk killed one person and wounded another. A baby was injured in Zaporizhzhia, and two people were hurt in a drone attack in Chuguiv, Kharkiv region.
