Four Singaporeans, ages 23-29, were arrested after a 32-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Johor Bahru. The suspects were transferred to Malaysian authorities following warrants and a request for assistance.
One suspect was initially arrested at the immigration checkpoint, leading to the subsequent arrest of the others in Singapore with the help of the Singapore Police Force. Malaysian police are investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
All five suspects tested negative for drugs and have no prior criminal records. The cooperation between Singapore and Malaysian authorities highlights their strong partnership.
