A technician died in a tragic accident while setting up the stage for an upcoming Shakira concert in Rio de Janeiro.
Crews were assembling the stage on Copacabana beach when the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon. The technician sustained crushing leg injuries in a lifting system accident. First responders provided initial care at the scene, but the professional later passed away at the hospital.
The free concert, titled ‘Todo Mundo No Rio’, is scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd, as part of Shakira's world tour. The event is expected to draw millions to the iconic beach.
