The Sudanese army has denied carrying out a deadly attack on el-Daein Teaching Hospital in Darfur on Friday night, as the World Health Organization reported 64 deaths, including 13 children, and 89 injuries. The hospital, which serves thousands, is now non-functional. WHO Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus condemned the targeting of medical facilities, citing over 2,000 deaths in attacks on health care since the conflict began in 2023. The RSF accused the army of using a drone in the strike, while the military claimed it follows international laws. An independent investigation is being called for by local rights groups. The war, which has killed over 150,000 and displaced 12 million, continues with no end in sight.
