The White House is sending a high-powered delegation of US business leaders to China with President Donald Trump for meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to a White House official.

The group includes executives from top technology, finance, semiconductor, aerospace, and industrial firms. Confirmed participants include Elon Musk, Tim Cook, David Solomon, Larry Fink, as well as representatives from Qualcomm, Cisco Systems, Micron Technology, and General Electric.

This marks the first state visit by a US president to China since Trump's 2017 trip, when he and Xi announced $250 billion in business agreements.
