President Trump is scheduled to attend a dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Saturday. The event will honor six U.S. servicemembers who died during the early stages of the Iran war. The President will be accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump and the families of the fallen.

The Department of Defense identified the deceased as Capt. Cody A. Khork, Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, Sgt. Declan J. Coady, Maj. Jeffrey O'Brien, and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Marzan. All six service members were killed in an unmanned aircraft system attack in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, on Sunday, March 1.

They were all members of the 103rd Sustainment Command, based in Des Moines, Iowa, a unit responsible for providing logistical support to the military. President Trump previously described the soldiers' deaths as a "very sad situation" and praised the servicemembers as "great heroes."

The dignified transfer is a somber ritual for returning the remains of U.S. service members killed in action. After the ceremony, President Trump is slated to return to Mar-a-Lago.
