US President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit China from March 31 to April 2. The White House confirmed the dates for a highly anticipated encounter, occurring amidst significant trade tensions between the world's two largest economies.

Trump is expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping. This meeting follows a trade truce that paused tariff escalations. The leaders' last in-person discussion was in October, where agreements were made on reducing tariffs in exchange for China's crackdown on fentanyl, resumption of soybean purchases, and continued rare earths exports.
Recent discussions have also touched upon Taiwan, with China asserting its claim and the US continuing arms sales to the island. President Trump described the upcoming trip as "going to be a wild one" and emphasized the need for a significant display.
