A missile strike on the Israeli city of Beit Shemesh has claimed the lives of nine people, including three teenage children of Rabbi Yitzhak Biton. The attack, which occurred on the second day of the war, completely destroyed a local synagogue and a school.
Rabbi Biton recounted the devastating moment a missile hit the shelter where his children had sought refuge, stating, "It was a miracle we survived." Emergency personnel worked at the site, with the strike marking the deadliest on Israel since the war began.

The Biton family is observing the Jewish seven-day mourning ceremony in Jerusalem. Rabbi Biton, while devastated, expressed a profound sense of faith, stating, "In war, in the end, everyone comes out losing. There is no war in which a person comes out a real winner."
