President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran late Sunday: agree to a U.S. deal for a permanent ceasefire, or face total destruction.

"For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won't be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The war, which began with U.S. and Israeli strikes on February 28, has reached an impasse. It has blocked the Strait of Hormuz, disrupted global oil markets, and drawn Lebanon and Israel into a regional conflict.

Trump seeks Iran's dismantlement of its nuclear program, demanding the handover of some 440 kilograms of enriched uranium (up to 60% purity). Tehran, however, insists on maintaining some civilian-use infrastructure. The latest U.S. proposal reportedly eases those demands, but Iran still refuses to negotiate on Trump's terms.

Meanwhile, the crisis escalated Sunday with an Iranian drone strike on the UAE's Barakah nuclear power plant-the only such facility in the Arab world. A fire broke out, but authorities reported no injuries or radiation release. The UAE condemned the attack as a "dangerous escalation." Saudi Arabia intercepted three additional drones entering from Iraqi airspace.
