The White House has called Star Wars actor Mark Hamill "one sick individual" after he posted an AI-generated image of President Donald Trump in a shallow grave with the caption "if only."
The image, shared on Hamill's Bluesky account, showed Trump lying with his eyes shut next to a headstone reading "Donald J. Trump 1946-2024."
Hamill, famous for playing Luke Skywalker, later deleted the post and apologized, saying he was "wishing him the opposite of dead."
The actor also posted a lengthy statement on X, saying Trump should "live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms."
The White House press team responded, calling Hamill "one sick individual" and linking the rhetoric to recent assassination attempts against the president.
