Graeme Souness has opened up about his life in football and the fledgling years of his distinguished career and has revealed the manager who initially didn't back him as a player.
During the latest series of the Mail podcast 'Everything I Know About Me' the 71-year-old also opened up on how his former coach once called him out on using a fancy shampoo.
The Liverpool legend began his footballing journey at Tynecastle Colts before joining up with Tottenham in 1968.
He would later move to Middlesbrough where the former broadcaster honed his footballing skills under a legendary manager.
Souness, who won five league titles and three European Cups during his glittering career, would make 133 appearances across all competitions for Boro, scoring 16 times before moving to the Merseyside outfit in 1978.
