A two-year real-world study indicates that abrocitinib offers durable and well-tolerated treatment for patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema). The findings confirm sustained improvements in skin symptoms, itch, and quality of life beyond clinical trial settings.
Investigators tracked 23 patients over two years, collecting data on skin severity, itch, and life quality. Over 104 weeks, significant reductions were observed in eczema severity scores. Notably, 83% of patients achieved substantial symptom relief, and 61% reported a significant improvement in their quality of life.
Abrocitinib was generally well tolerated, with only 13% discontinuing therapy due to adverse events. No unexpected safety concerns emerged, supporting its suitability for long-term management.
These real-world results align with prior clinical data, demonstrating abrocitinib's potential for sustained symptom relief and improved patient outcomes in atopic dermatitis.
