Spring & Mulberry has expanded its chocolate bar recall to all 12 flavors after identifying a contaminated date ingredient as the likely source of salmonella. The recall now covers all products made with a specific batch of dates, though no illnesses have been confirmed and all tested bars were negative for the bacteria.

The company initially recalled its Mint Leaf Date-Sweetened Chocolate Bar in January after routine testing flagged potential contamination. A root cause investigation later traced the issue to a single lot of date ingredient.

Affected flavors include Blood Orange, Coffee, Earl Grey, Lavender Rose, Mango Chili, Mint Leaf, Mixed Berry, Mulberry Fennel, Pecan Date, Pure Dark, Pure Dark Mini, and Sea Salt. Lot codes are listed on the company's recall notice.

Consumers with any of the recalled bars should not eat them. Spring & Mulberry is offering refunds with proof of purchase showing the batch code.

Salmonella can cause serious infections, especially in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms include diarrhea, fever over 102°F, vomiting, and dehydration, typically appearing 6 hours to 6 days after exposure. Most recover within a week, but severe cases may require medical attention.
