The European Medical Journal (EMJ) has been named a finalist for The Drum Awards for Marketing 2026 in the Healthcare & Pharma category. The nomination celebrates EMJ's interactive model, developed in partnership with PARI Pharma GmbH, designed to simplify complex chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) diagnostic pathways for healthcare professionals.
This initiative addresses the critical issue of diagnostic delays in COPD, which can impact patient treatment. The interactive tool leverages key values like inspiratory flow and cognitive function to clarify data and aid point-of-care decision-making. EMJ also created supplementary interactive content, including patient case studies and expert insights, to enhance learning and build credibility. Tim Uden, Creative Director at EMJ, stated the award reflects their commitment to making complex information accessible and useful for busy healthcare providers. The content has demonstrated significant success, with 75% of surveyed healthcare professionals actively using the decision tool in their clinical practice.
The winners will be announced on June 3, 2026, at Evolution London.
