Straus Family Creamery has issued a voluntary recall of certain Organic Super Premium Ice Cream products across 17 states due to the potential presence of metal fragments.
The company, in a notice posted on the FDA website, says only specific production runs are affected. No injuries have been reported.
Recalled items were distributed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin. Products hit shelves starting May 4.
Affected flavors and sizes include Vanilla Bean (pint), Strawberry (quart and pint), Cookie Dough (pint), Dutch Chocolate (quart), and Mint Chip (pint). Each has a specific UPC and best-by date from December 23 to 30, 2026.
