A public health alert has been issued for 16-ounce vacuum-packed ground beef from White Oak Pastures, potentially contaminated with metal. The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the alert on March 23.
The product, labeled "Radically Traditional Farming, Grassfed Ground Beef" with establishment number EST 34729 and sell-by date 03/19/26, was distributed to Mom’s Organic Markets in Washington, DC, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
White Oak Pastures initiated the alert after receiving two consumer complaints. No injuries have been confirmed.
FSIS advises consumers not to consume the product. Any remaining units should be discarded or returned to the point of purchase.
