Saskatoon paramedics voted down a tentative contract agreement on Wednesday, keeping their strike mandate in place. The rejected deal came after an April 15 announcement, but details failed to win approval from union members.

Negotiations with Medavie Health Services West began in March 2024. A previous proposal was unanimously rejected in February, though no job action was taken at that time. The union has not yet announced next steps.
In a statement, the association said it respects its members' decision and remains committed to securing a fair agreement.
