Two healthcare providers are settling a class action lawsuit for $3.3 million following a ransomware attack that compromised sensitive patient records.

Mt. Baker Imaging and Northwest Radiologists reached the agreement to resolve claims stemming from a January 2025 security breach. Plaintiffs allege cybercriminals accessed the personal and medical information of approximately 340,184 individuals due to inadequate cybersecurity safeguards.

While denying liability, the firms established a non-reversionary fund to avoid prolonged litigation. Eligible class members may receive reimbursement for documented losses up to $5,000, pro rata cash payments, and two years of medical identity theft protection.

The settlement covers all U.S. residents whose data was potentially compromised during the incident. Affected individuals have until August 19, 2026, to submit claims for compensation.
