Bournemouth have sidelined right back Alex Jimenez for their Premier League match against Fulham on Saturday. The club confirmed Friday it is investigating posts made on social media involving the player.

The club acknowledges the seriousness of the matter and has launched an internal investigation. As a result, Jimenez will not be available for selection, and the club will not comment further at this time.

Jimenez, 25, initially joined on loan from AC Milan before making his move permanent in February. He has made 31 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth this season.

Bournemouth currently sit sixth in the league standings, six points behind fifth-place Aston Villa with three games remaining. The club is pushing for a spot in European competition next season.
