Glasgow, March 1: Celtic secured a thrilling 2-2 draw against Rangers in Sunday's Old Firm derby at Ibrox, with Reo Hatate converting a 91st-minute penalty.
Rangers took a commanding 2-0 lead in the first half, thanks to a brace from Youssef Chermiti. Chermiti opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a spectacular overhead kick and doubled the lead in the 26th minute after capitalizing on a defensive lapse.
Celtic mounted a significant comeback in the second half. They pulled a goal back in the 56th minute when Kieran Tierney headed home a slick passing move. The visitors' persistence paid off late in the game when a VAR review awarded them a penalty for a handball. Hatate's initial penalty attempts were saved by Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland, but he successfully converted on his third try to level the match.
