Dallas Cowboys safety Markquese Bell was arrested Friday in Prosper, Texas, on two drug charges. He faces a felony count for possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge for marijuana possession. Bell, 27, remains in custody at the Collin County jail. The arrest occurred more than a year after Bell signed a $9 million, three-year contract extension with the Cowboys.

Bell appeared in all 17 games for Dallas last season, recording 41 combined tackles and his first career interception. He initially joined the Cowboys in 2022 as an undrafted free agent, gradually increasing his role on the team in subsequent seasons.
