Chelsea defender Millie Bright has retired from playing after a 17-year career that saw her win 20 trophies with the Women's Super League club.
Bright, who also served as Chelsea's longest-serving player with 314 appearances, will now become a club ambassador and trustee of the Chelsea Foundation.
"Representing Chelsea over the last 12 years has been everything to me," Bright stated. "I've given all I can and I never wanted to fight for any other badge. It is now time and I'm ready to go into a new era."
She joined Chelsea in 2015 and set the record for most WSL appearances with 216. Her extensive medal collection includes eight WSL titles, six Women's FA Cups, and four Women's League Cups.
In international play, Bright earned 88 caps for England, contributing to their Euro 2022 triumph and captaining the team to the 2023 World Cup final. Her contributions were recognized with an OBE in 2024.
Chelsea will honor Bright's service at their final WSL match of the season on May 16.
