LONDON, July 3 - Novak Djokovic has equaled Roger Federer's record with his 105th Wimbledon match victory. The win propels him into the tournament's fourth round.
The 39-year-old Serbian champion faced a tough challenge from France's Arthur Rinderknech. After dominating the first two sets, Djokovic lost the third. He rebounded to win the fourth-set tiebreak, closing out the match 7-5, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(4).
Djokovic is now just one win behind Martina Navratilova's all-time Wimbledon record of 120. His next opponent is Russian qualifier Roman Safiullin.
The victory on a sun-drenched Centre Court showcased Djokovic's trademark precision and court coverage. While Rinderknech played brilliantly, particularly with his powerful serve in the third set, Djokovic's composure in the decisive tiebreak proved the difference.
