Russian Daniil Medvedev stunned world no.1 Carlos Alcaraz to reach the Indian Wells final.

After a 16-match winning streak, Alcaraz fell to Medvedev, who won in two sets: 6-3, 7-6(7-3).

The 30-year-old, a two-time runner-up at Indian Wells, will face Jannik Sinner, who beat Alexander Zverev 6-2, 6-4 in the semifinal.

Medvedev's victory extends his own winning streak to nine matches. Sinner aims to become the third man to win all six ATP Masters 1000 hard-court titles.
