Fabio Wardley has officially activated the rematch clause to fight Daniel Dubois again for the WBO heavyweight title. The bout, held in Manchester last weekend, was stopped in the 11th round after a brutal beating that left Wardley bloodied but refusing to quit.

Promoter Frank Warren confirmed the clause's existence, and Wardley told Sky Sports on Friday he has triggered it. "I made some mistakes that I will rectify in the rematch," Wardley said. "Congratulations to Daniel, but I'm coming for you... and my belt."

Meanwhile, Oleksandr Usyk-who holds the WBA, WBC, and IBF belts after vacating the WBO-will face Dutch kickboxer Rico Verhoeven on May 23 in Egypt. Only Usyk's WBC title will be at stake. The IBF has stated that if Usyk loses, the IBF heavyweight title will be declared vacant immediately.
