Juventus has extended coach Luciano Spalletti's contract through the 2028 season. The Italian club announced the move Friday, signaling a commitment to continuity and qualification for the Champions League.

Spalletti, who previously managed Inter Milan, Napoli, and the Italian national team, took the helm at Juventus last October. His initial short-term deal was reportedly tied to performance objectives, notably securing a Champions League spot.

Juventus CEO Damien Comolli expressed his delight, stating, "Since Luciano joined our great Juventus family, he has had an immediate and very positive impact." The club has seen improved Serie A form under Spalletti, currently sitting fifth in the standings and in contention for a top-four finish.

Spalletti famously led Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years in 2023. The 67-year-old's tenure with the Italian national team concluded after their exit from Euro 2024 and a challenging World Cup qualification campaign, leading to his departure last June.
