March 20: Rei Sakamoto, a 19-year-old Japanese wildcard, claimed his first ATP Tour victory over Aleksandar Kovacevic, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(7), setting up a second-round match against Daniil Medvedev.

Sakamoto, ranked 164th, joins other teenagers like Moise Kouame and Joao Fonseca, who also made headlines. Kouame, 17, beat Zachary Svajda, becoming the youngest to win an ATP Masters 1000 match since 2003.

This marks the first time five teenagers reached the second round of the Miami Open in 19 years. Sakamoto and Kouame join other standout performers including Fonseca and Rafael Jodar, who together created a historic moment in tennis.
