LOS ANGELES, March 16 - Organizers of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics announced the registration for the first ticket lottery closes March 18. Over five million fans from 197 countries have already registered, signaling strong global interest ahead of the July 14 opening.

Eligible registrants will receive a purchase window during the first ticket sale from April 9 to 19. A local presale runs April 2-6 for Southern California and Oklahoma residents. Oklahoma City will host softball and canoe slalom events.

Selected applicants will be notified by email between March 31 and April 7. Buyers can secure up to 12 event tickets, with a four-ticket limit for both the opening and closing ceremonies.

Baseball returns to the Olympics for the first time since Tokyo 2020. The Dominican Republic and Venezuela qualified via the 2026 World Baseball Classic, joining host nation United States. Games will be held at Dodger Stadium from July 13-19.

Three more teams will qualify through tournaments in 2027 and 2028. The Olympic soccer tournament starts July 10, four days before the opening ceremony, with expanded rest periods for athletes.

Group and quarterfinal matches will take place across seven cities: New York, Columbus, Nashville, St. Louis, San Jose, San Diego, and Pasadena. Gold medal matches will be held at the Rose Bowl.
