Liverpool capitalized on West Ham's set-piece deficiencies to achieve a commanding 5-2 victory at Anfield.

Hugo Ekitike opened the scoring in the fifth minute, followed by first-half goals from captain Virgil van Dijk and midfielder Alexis Mac Allister. All three Liverpool goals stemmed directly from West Ham's struggles to defend corners.

While Tomas Soucek pulled one back for West Ham early in the second half, Cody Gakpo re-established Liverpool's advantage in the 70th minute. The visitors responded again, but a late own goal by West Ham defender Axel Disasi sealed the dominant win for Liverpool.

The victory propels Liverpool to fifth in the Premier League standings.
