Gael Monfils played an emotional final match at Indian Wells on Friday, falling to Felix Auger-Aliassime. The popular Frenchman, who has stated this season will be his last, received a standing ovation from the crowd.

Monfils, 39, expressed his gratitude for the tournament, stating it matched all his expectations from day one. Known for his athleticism and flair, he won 13 ATP Tour titles throughout his career, with his first in 2005 and his latest in Auckland last year.

He acknowledged playing in the era of the 'Big Three' - Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic - but leaves tennis without regrets, having reached two Grand Slam semi-finals.
