Aprilia's Jorge Martin won the French Grand Prix on Sunday, storming from seventh on the grid to claim his first MotoGP victory since his 2024 championship year. Martin overtook race leader Marco Bezzecchi with three laps remaining to finish first, closing to within one point of his Aprilia teammate in the riders' championship standings.

Ai Ogura, riding for Aprilia's satellite team Trackhouse, took third place, giving the Italian manufacturer its first podium sweep in history.

Reigning Ducati champion Marc Marquez was absent from the race after fracturing his foot in Saturday's sprint. He will also miss next weekend's Catalan Grand Prix due to required surgery.
