The NBA is investigating two courtside fans who allegedly directed profane 'flopping' remarks at New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson during Game 1 of the NBA Finals in San Antonio Wednesday night.
The taunts began with 20 seconds left in the game as the Knicks secured a 105-95 win over the Spurs. Brunson approached referee Scott Foster after the final buzzer to report the incident. Foster, who was nearby, had heard the remarks himself.
Brunson finished with 30 points, scoring 13 in the fourth quarter on 5-of-9 shooting to seal the victory. The ABC broadcast showed him pointing toward the fans after a basket.
The Knicks lead the series 1-0. Game 2 is Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET in San Antonio.
