NBA, FIBA, and EuroLeague convened in Switzerland for "constructive" talks regarding the future of European basketball and potential collaboration.

The discussions focused on a proposed new league, with all three parties agreeing to continue conversations in the coming weeks.

Over 120 potential investors have expressed interest in the venture. The NBA has received multiple bids ranging from $500 million to over $1 billion for the league, which is targeting 12 European cities.

The NBA and FIBA, who announced exploration of this league in March 2025, have stated that existing EuroLeague teams have a clear path to participate, either as permanent franchises or through a merit-based qualification process. Play could commence in October 2027.
