NCAA champion gymnast Olivia Dunne admitted she’s not cut out for high-pressure baseball after watching her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, escape a bases-loaded jam during Team USA’s World Baseball Classic semifinal against the Dominican Republic.

Skenes, pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates and reigning National League Cy Young Award winner, started the game and held the Dominican Republic to one run over 4.1 innings. He allowed six hits and struck out two before exiting with the U.S. ahead.

The tension peaked in the fourth inning when the Dominican Republic loaded the bases. Skenes shut down the threat with a flyout from catcher Austin Wells.

Dunne shared a TikTok video of herself visibly stressed while watching the game. “When someone says they’re stressed but they’ve never watched their man get out of a bases loaded jam repping the USA,” she wrote.

She later added: “I am not cut out for this.”

Team USA won 2-1 and advanced to the final against either Italy or Venezuela. Skenes received the win and will now return focus to his MLB season with the Pirates.
