Ivan Herrera clubbed a three-run home run in the 10th inning to give the St. Louis Cardinals a 9-6 walk-off win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. As he rounded the bases, Herrera saluted the shirtless fans by pretending to wave his shirt around.
The shirtless section started Friday during a win over the Kansas City Royals. About 100 fans moved to an empty section, and it quickly packed with shirtless fans. When the Cardinals walked off in the 11th, the section went ballistic. Cardinals manager Olli Marmol praised the energy and bought tickets for the group to stay for the weekend.
For the Cardinals, it was their fifth walk-off win of the season. St. Louis (28-19) faces the Pirates (24-24) on Wednesday.
