"I will talk to the president - I have an idea of what I would like to do," Scaloni told reporters. "I will see out my contract and I feel the need to think as I don't know if something as big can be done."
The loss marked a disappointing, possibly final, chapter for superstar Lionel Messi, who left the tournament empty-handed. Scaloni defended the captain, calling him the best football player ever.
Messi was also moved to tears on the pitch as Argentina's supporters serenaded the team. Scaloni urged the fans to use the moment to bounce back stronger.
