World number one Jannik Sinner delivered a stunning performance on Sunday, defeating Alexander Zverev 6-1, 6-2 in just 57 minutes to win the Madrid Open.
The 24-year-old Italian's victory marks his fifth consecutive ATP Masters 1000 title, a record streak that began with his Paris win last year and continued through Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte Carlo this season.
The win also extends Sinner's head-to-head dominance over the world number three German to nine straight victories.
