Team Canada athletes received a hero's welcome Monday, returning home with 21 medals, including five gold, from the Winter Games. Supporters gathered at airports in Toronto and Montreal, celebrating the team's significant achievements.

Curler Brett Gallant expressed his satisfaction, stating, "Feels good, feels good to be back on Canadian soil." He highlighted the men's curling team's return to the top of the podium. The women's ice hockey team secured a silver medal, with forward Natalie Spooner emphasizing the impact of national support throughout the tournament.

Teammate Sarah Fillier described the championship atmosphere as "unforgettable." Bobsleigher Keaton Bruggeling, in his first Olympics, found the homecoming reception "unbelievable."

Speedskater Valérie Maltais returned with three medals and the honor of being a flagbearer. Freestyle skier Mikaël Kingsbury, a decorated mogul skier, won gold and also carried the Canadian flag, calling it "huge."
