Belgium and Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has joined the E1 electric powerboat racing series as a co-owner of Team Sierra.
The 33-year-old, also co-founder of NXTPLAY Capital, becomes the latest sports star to invest in the Saudi-backed championship. Other notable team owners include Rafael Nadal, LeBron James, Tom Brady, and Will Smith.
The series competes across four continents, with races scheduled in locations such as Lake Como, Monaco, Miami, and the Bahamas.
"Sierra Racing Club represents exactly the profile NXTPLAY looks for in a sports asset," Courtois said. "A team with a strong identity, technical ambition, and real potential to become one of the reference names in the championship."
