Gunnar Henderson tied the game with a solo home run in the fourth inning off Luis Severino. Roman Anthony followed with another solo shot - a 3-2 fastball over center field - to give Team USA a 2-1 lead.
Paul Skenes pitched 4.1 innings for Team USA, allowing one earned run on the Junior Caminero homer. Severino lasted 3.1 innings for the D.R., striking out six.
Aaron Judge made a pivotal defensive play, gunning down Fernando Tatis Jr. trying to stretch a single into a triple. David Bednar escaped a seventh-inning jam with runners on second and third.
Mason Miller closed the ninth, striking out Geraldo Perdomo on a 3-2 slider to seal the win.
Team USA will face either Venezuela or Italy in the final.
