Oleksandr Usyk will defend his WBC heavyweight title against Dutch kickboxer Rico Verhoeven on May 23. The highly anticipated bout is scheduled to take place at the iconic Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.

Usyk, the three-time undisputed champion, holds the IBF, WBA, and WBC belts. This fight marks his return to the ring since his victory over Daniel Dubois last July.

"This is boxing - a different game, with its own rules and its own kings," Usyk stated, acknowledging Verhoeven's kickboxing prowess. Verhoeven, the reigning heavyweight kickboxing champion, expressed his motivation for the challenge, aiming to be undisputed in boxing as well.

The event, dubbed 'Glory in Giza,' will be streamed live on DAZN.
