SHANGHAI, March 16 - Alibaba Group Chief Executive Eddie Wu will lead the newly established Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) Business Group, the company announced Monday.
The ATH group integrates core AI units including Tongyi Laboratory, MaaS Business Line, Qwen Business Unit, Wukong Business Unit, and AI Innovation Business Unit.
Alibaba's mission with the new group is to "create, deliver, and apply tokens," focusing on AI-native work platforms for enterprises.
The restructuring follows the departure of Lin Junyang, head of Alibaba's Qwen AI model division, who exited earlier this month. He is the third senior Qwen executive to leave in 2024.
