Foxconn's second-generation low-Earth orbit satellites have launched. The company confirmed its PEARL-1A and PEARL-1B satellites lifted off aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from California.
Both satellites have reached their intended orbits and will operate for five years. The primary mission is to validate payload technologies in communication and space science. This launch marks a significant step for the electronics manufacturer as it expands into the space technology sector.
