Singapore is establishing the Institute of Digital Government (IDG) to train more than 150,000 public officers in digital, data, and artificial intelligence skills. Minister of State for Digital Development and Information, Jasmin Lau, stated the goal is to ensure no officer feels "powerless in a digital world," emphasizing citizen-centered and secure solutions.

The IDG will deliver mandatory foundational modules in cybersecurity, data protection, and AI literacy. Targeted courses in product thinking, data governance, and AI applications will also be available.

Separately, the National AI Impact Programme (NAIIP) was announced to enhance AI capabilities across enterprises and workers. This initiative aims to help 10,000 local enterprises integrate AI and support 100,000 workers in becoming "AI bilingual" over the next three years.
