Singapore Airlines is set to enhance its in-flight Wi-Fi with SpaceX’s Starlink broadband service, targeting a rollout on select aircraft from the first quarter of 2027.
The service will be progressively introduced on the carrier’s Airbus A350-900 long-haul, A350-900 ultra-long-range, and A380 aircraft, with full deployment expected by the end of 2029.
Starlink’s low Earth orbit satellite network can deliver over 1 Gbps per antenna, enabling faster streaming, content sharing, gaming, and file transfers for passengers in all classes.
Passengers in Suites, First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy-along with PPS Club and KrisFlyer members-will continue to enjoy unlimited complimentary connectivity once onboard a Starlink-enabled aircraft.
“Fast, seamless connectivity is today an essential part of the travel experience,” said Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines. He added that Starlink will provide next-generation high-speed service from take-off to landing.
