AI startup Tess AI has raised $5 million to enhance its enterprise agent orchestration platform. The company, founded in California by Brazilian entrepreneurs, offers a model that replaces traditional seat-based software with autonomous AI agents designed to execute operational tasks.
Tess AI's platform addresses the challenge of integrating AI into workflows rather than just chat interfaces. It centers on agent orchestration, enabling multiple AI models to collaborate within structured environments. The business model monetizes completed work performed by these agents, moving away from per-user licensing.
The platform utilizes a multi-model orchestration engine, integrating over 200 AI models into a compound intelligence framework. Agents are created and deployed within a shared workspace, capable of executing dynamic interaction loops and concurrent processes. A single agent call can support up to 40 simultaneous operations, coordinating model selection, context management, and workflow execution across enterprise data sources.
Employees can create, deploy, and share agents to perform tasks like bank reconciliation, inventory verification, prospecting, data analysis, and internal reporting with minimal human input. The system tracks task execution as completed operational output.
The seed funding round was led by Hi Ventures and DYDX Capital, with Honeystone Ventures also participating.
