Police in Ottawa are searching for a dark-coloured F-150 involved in a hit-and-run that killed a male crossing guard in his 50s.
The man was struck while on duty near an elementary school at the intersection of Cedarview Road and Kennevale Drive. He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe called the incident "completely unacceptable," emphasizing the guard’s role in protecting children. Authorities believe the pickup truck fled the scene.
